Thanksgiving Dining in Austin
Thanksgiving is about bringing family and friends together to celebrate and give thanks. The experience is always centered around food and the dinner table.
But who says that you need to spend hundreds at the grocery store and days in your kitchen to get the most out of the holiday? There are restaurants that open their doors on Thanksgiving and offer up their best in a once a year Thanksgiving feast. You can put aside the grocery shopping, the prep, and the cleanup, and enjoy being together.
We’re excited to share this list we found on Austin 360 as they’ve done quite a bit of legwork for you. The following are just a few on the long list of dining possibilities on the table. That is if you make reservations as soon as possible.

Where to eat in Austin on Thanksgiving?
Whether you are entertaining family for the Thanksgiving holiday or just preparing a meal for yourself, a Thanksgiving feast can be a lot of work. Why not let the experts handle the heavy lifting? Here are more than two dozen restaurants in the area serving special menus or buffets on Thanksgiving. Check the restaurant websites for more details and reservations.
Cafe No Se. 1603 S. Congress Ave. 512-942-2061, cafenoseaustin.com. The casual restaurant at the South Congress Hotel will serve a Thanksgiving brunch from 7 a.m. to 7 p.m. and again on Black Friday from 7 a.m. to 3 p.m.
La Condesa. 400 W Second St. 512-499-0300, lacondesa.com. The downtown Mexican restaurant serves a special dinner in its private underground dining room Nov. 19-21, with seatings from 5 to 8 p.m. and 8:30 to 11 p.m. The Friendsgiving menu includes confit turkey, duck fat potatoes and choriqueso. Cost is $45. Bookings available by emailing firstname.lastname@example.org or filling out the form at lacondesa.com.
Hank’s. 5811 Berkman Drive #100. 512-609-8077, hanksaustin.com. The newish neighborhood restaurant in Northeast Austin is selling holiday pies and ice cream. Pie flavors include blueberry buttermilk ($27) and chocolate pecan ($27). Last day for pre-orders is Nov. 18, with pickup Nov. 21.
Second Bar + Kitchen at Domain Northside. 3121 Palm Way #101. 737-300-4800, secondbarkitchen.com. The Domain Northside location will serve a buffet and family-style dishes from 11 a.m to 7 p.m. with options including Brussels sprout and sourdough-sage stuffing, slow-roasted turkey and pumpkin pie cheesecake. Cost is $55 and $27 for children ages 6-12.
