New Year – New Dining Options
Optimist Hall will be opening its doors in 2019 on East 16th Street. In the meantime, the retail, dining, and office complex is filling its space with some unusual one-off food and merchandise options.
“The Dumpling Lady” is the latest to sign on, taking its food truck concept to the brick and mortar. The Dumpling Lady will be serving up its locally famous dumplings and other Sichuan dishes. “Billy Sunday” is already serving drinks in Chicago. Its cocktail menu will also be a part of the Optimist Hall experience. And, don’t think your furry best friend will be left out as “Pet Wants” will soon be selling natural pet foods and snacks.
Popular food truck and other new tenants to open this spring in Optimist Hall
Four new tenants, including the popular food truck The Dumpling Lady, will join the lineup of retail tenants at Optimist Hall, a massive former textile mill that’s being restored in Optimist Park between uptown and NoDa.
With the latest new retailers, Optimist Hall has 10 vendors lined up already for the food hall. Others include Undercurrent Coffee, Zukku Sushi and Aix, a rotisserie chicken stand from the owners of Aix En Provence. Papi Queso, another popular Charlotte food truck, is also opening its first brick-and-mortar location in Optimist Hall.
