Tampa Bay International Dragon Boat Festival

The Junior League’s annual event is coming up on April 27th, 2019. Plan to spend the entire day at Cotanchobee Fort Brooke Park as there’ll be plenty of entertainment and activities to keep the whole family entertained.

For more information, you can check out the Junior League of Tampa’s website.

Tampa Riverfest

It’s been five years since the inaugural Riverfest, and it’s still going strong. The fifth annual event is back at the Tampa Riverwalk on May 3rd and 4th.

If you’re an annual attendee, you probably already have this one set in stone in your google calendar. But, if not, you won’t want to miss out, as there are so many things to do packed into just two days. You’ll enjoy concerts, a Margarita Bar, TacoFest, and the Taste of the Riverwalk. Plus, who would want to miss out on the Wiener Dog Derby?!

VIP Tent tickets are available now for just $50. “Just” because that VIP access includes portable restrooms in the tent!

Stay outside

Creative Loafing in Tampa has already put together some other regular outdoor activities. There’s the Royal Palm Market in St. Pete. Local vendors with handmade items are on hand each Thursday at 6 pm. Your best furry friend can accompany you, as dogs are welcome.

Be sure to review more of Creative Loafing’s list for info on St. Anthony’s Triathlon, Trail Fun Runs at the Boyd Hill Nature Preserve, and yoga at Crescent Lake Park. There are plenty of chances to give your smartphone a rest and soak up some vitamin D.

More events and other things to do in the Tampa area are also on the Tampa City Guide Calendar, and they’re updated daily.
