It’s Holiday Time in Portland
After the Thanksgiving dishes are cleaned up and the leftovers are tucked away for the weekend, it’s time to head to Portland’s Courthouse Square for the 34th annual lighting of the Christmas tree.
When it comes to a holiday tradition, you can’t get much more family-friendly than this event. Festivities start at 5:00 with pre-show entertainment and then the holiday singalong and tree lighting take place from 5:30 to 6:30 pm.
The lighting of the 75-foot tree is just the start of the official holiday season in Portland. There are festivals of lights, boat shows, and holiday favorites like The Nutcracker to keep Portlanders in the festive mood until 2019!
