This Fort Lauderdale favorite has some of the best margaritas around, and events like Taco Tuesday and Lona’s Bottomless Brunch. The last Thursday of every month is “Tail Waggin’ and Tequila on the Terrace.” Bring your fur baby for coconut water and carrot juice cocktails. You’ll also want a designated driver or an Uber you sample sparkling tequila cocktails on the patio.

The service was excellent, and the staff was friendly and attentive.

Tacos are the best thing to come out of Mexico, and we’re here to spread the word that some of the tastiest are at Mexican Taqueria Los Chilangos. We’re not talking about those hard shell tacos that you can find at any corner store or grocery store, but authentic tacos made on-site with fresh ingredients.

Some of the tasty treats include Tacos Vegetarianos, Tacos Campechanos, and Tacos con Chorizo. You’ll also find an excellent variety of tortas, tostadas, burritos, and elotes.

Bohemian Latin Grill

Bohemian Latin Grill is small, but it has a large patio with tables where you can enjoy your meal while listening to music and watching the ocean. There’s also a bar area where you can drink while waiting for a table or after dinner.

We’re pushing it with this pick, as Bohemian isn’t a traditional Mexican restaurant. However, the menu includes dishes like empanadas, and quesadilla and burrito plates. We have to recommend the Churrasco Plate – skirt steak with chimichurri.

Mayami Mexicantina

Mayami Mexicantina is an indoor-outdoor Mexican restaurant with a club atmosphere located in Winwood.

Menu items cover the gamut from Salmon Carpaccio and Guacalote to Wong-Tong Tacos and Ceviches. There’s also a midnight menu – which is a treat!

Mayai Mexicantina isn’t an inexpensive pick, but if you’re in the mood for a fun night out, you can do it all at this Miami-based hotspot. A wide range of tequilas made from 100% agave rounds out an extensive list of wines and beers to complement their food offerings.
