Bars Become Christmas Pop-Ups

Nov 14, 2018

There was a time when gift exchanges and Christmas pageants and plays were December's big activities. But, these days, when so much of our lives are online, it's good to know that you can get out of the house and away from your video screens and get into the holiday spirit.
Nashville has embraced the "pop up" trend with two Christmas pop-ups as Noelle's Hidden Bar and Headquarters Beercade aren't scrooges. They embrace the Ghost of Christmas Present with festive holiday drinks and atmosphere that could put a smile on the Grinch himself.

That biting chill in the air can only mean one thing (other than flu season): the holiday season is here. And with that festive season come enthusiastic early decorators, grinch-like forced participants, and love-them-or-hate-them — Christmas-themed cocktails and pop-ups around town. Here are two pop-ups providing kitschy decor galore and belly-warming libations just for the holiday season.

Miracle at Noelle’s Hidden Bar

Hidden Bar is the very hush-hush fittingly Christmasy speakeasy inside Noelle, and they’re doubling down with that festive holiday spirit by hosting Miracle — a nation-wide Christmas-themed pop-up cocktail bar.

Reindeer Games at Headquarters Beercade

Nashville’s beloved arcade bar Headquarters Beercade explodes into a winter wonderland on Saturday, December 1 with Reindeer Games — an immersive holiday pop-up. Located in the heart of SoBro at 114 2nd Ave South, Nashville’s biggest arcade bar will actually deck the halls with over-the-top decorations, interactive installations, specialty holiday-inspired cocktails, and more. Reindeer Games will take over the entire two-story, 6,500-square-foot space with traditional holiday decor turned on its head, designed and installed in-house to create a unique holiday experience.
