Entertaining Orlando Theme Restaurants Providing Two For One Experiences

By Jennifer, Guest Author

Orlando might just be the most entertaining city in the entire country. It has the most theme parks and attractions by far, but the fun doesn’t stop there. Even eating in Orlando can be an entertaining experience.

You don’t need to be a tourist to take advantage of some of the dining attractions. Here are five of the best Orlando theme restaurants that you’ll love!

Hoop Dee Doo Musical Revue, Orlando theme restaurant

Hoop Dee Doo Musical Revue

Located at Disney’s Fort Wilderness Resort & Campground, you’ll find Hoop-Dee-Doo Musical Revue, a western-themed place for dinner and a show.

You’ll enjoy an all-you-can-eat feast featuring family-style food that even your pickiest kids will love. Crispy fried chicken, barbecue ribs, corn on the cob, and other finger-licking favorites will make the whole family happy as you enjoy the show. Grownups can enjoy cocktails while the kids play games like horseshoes or even enjoy the playground before the show begins so you won’t have to hear any whining.

Note: The Hoop Dee Doo Musical Revue was temporarily closed in 2020 and 2021 during the COVID-19 lockdowns.

Medieval Times, Orlando theme restaurants

Medieval Times Dinner and Tournament

Medieval Times Dinner and Tournament is perhaps one of the original dinner-and-a-show restaurants in the Orlando area, although it’s not exclusive to Orlando. A medieval meal and a joust are on the menu to satisfy and entertain you.

In true medieval form, there are no utensils. So, you must eat with your hands, which adds to the fun. This place has been around for over 30 years in Kissimmee, which is just outside of Orlando. While it now has other locations, this is the most famed of all the Medieval Times restaurants and is a hit with adults and children alike.

Pirate’s Dinner Adventure

Ahoy there, mateys!

This action-filled Pirate’s Dinner Adventure show dazzles with swordplay, acrobatics, and plenty of pyrotechnics. The cast interacts with diners randomly. However, if you choose a VIP package, you’ll get guaranteed interaction, which is always good to make a birthday or special occasion even more memorable.

You’ll get to dine in a great big ship within a giant lagoon, making the entire experience a thrilling and realistic eating adventure. There are adult and kids menus, providing something for everyone.

Sleuths Mystery Dinner Show

Want to go out without the kids?

This mystery-fueled dinner show is more fun for adults or even older kids. While little ones are welcome to the Sleuths Mystery Dinner Show (there’s a kids’ menu for children ages 3 to 11), they likely won’t appreciate the show.

Food is delicious though and includes beer, wine, and soft drinks in the price. You can also opt to pay a little extra to get a juicy prime rib which is never a bad idea. The show lasts for about 2.5 hours and includes a one-hour long pre-show, dinner, and dessert. Plus, during holidays various show themes are offered, making it a new experience every time.

Note: Sleuths Mystery Dinner Show was closed during the COVID lockdowns, but is open once again in late 2021.

T-REX orlando, orlando theme restaurant

T-REX

In Disney Springs, you’ll travel back to the land before time truly began. Dinosaur-loving kids and adults will love the T-REX restaurant, filled with prehistoric décor and animatronic dinosaurs.

The menu features meaty meals like ribs and mammoth-sized burgers, plus indulgent desserts that carry out the restaurant’s theme. There are places to play and dig for bones while you wait for your table, keeping kids from getting bored before you’re seated.
