A Few Stand Out Stand Ups in San Francisco and Oakland
Hangin’ With Mr. Cooper
Cobb’s Comedy Club is non-stop laughs with comic after comic, night after night. The 400-seat venue in San Francisco’s North Beach knows how to book ‘em!
While you might know Mark Curry as Mark Cooper, Curry holds his own aside from his hit ABC series “Hangin’ With Mr. Cooper.” He’s performed at The Comedy Festival Laffapalooza Festival with host Tracy Morgan and toured with Bill Bellamy and Tommy Davidson. In 2012, Curry returned to TV as Scott Baio’s friend Marcus in Nick at NIte’s live-action “See Dad Run.” Now, you can see Curry stand (up). (forgive us, we’re not the comics!).
Check out the Cobb’s Comedy Club website for tickets and other performances on the books. And, arrive hungry as Cobb’s has a full menu of apps, salads, burgers, and desserts.
David Letterman gave Bobcat Goldthwait his start when he was just 20, and he hasn’t stopped yet. If the name sounds familiar but you just can’t place him, do you remember Eliot Loudermilk in Scrooged? He’s the exec that Bill Murray fired. Goldthwait was also Zed in Police Academy and has more than 100 other acting credits.
You can catch him off-screen, live, and in-person (yup, that’s a thing) at the Punch Line in San Francisco – 444 Battery Street.
Oh, and by the way, Bobcat is from Syracuse, just like our OTL family. So, get out there and support him!
