The Top 8 Stand-up Comedy Shows To See This Holiday Season

Before the year comes to a close, why not treat yourself to one of the best stand-up comedy shows? I’ve compiled a list of several sets that I think you should see if you’re looking to laugh this holiday season.

Mo Gilligan

If you’re in London on November 30, go ahead and grab tickets to see Mo Gilligan. He’s known for his witty, sometimes physical comedy. His sets are always  dynamic and spirited, and sure to make you laugh out loud. 

Aside from his London show this holiday season, Gilligan will be embarking on a world tour. Check out tour dates to see if he’s coming to a venue near you. 

James Acaster

James Acaster will also be performing in London this holiday season, starting in early January. Acaster is truly one of my favorite comedians. His sets are observational, but he’s not afraid to add some slapstick to his comedy. 

After his London shows, Acaster will be touring throughout the United Kingdom. I can’t recommend his comedy enough, he’s a riot. So, grab tickets if you can, they’re going quickly! 

Iliza Shlesinger

Iliza Shlesinger is a true comedy chameleon. She can joke about astrophysics, politics, and everything in between. Her sets are fun and energetic, and sure to make you laugh. 

Shlesigner will be performing in London this holiday season, but she is currently on an international tour. I would grab tickets right away if possible. Shlesinger is such a unique comedian, it would be a treat to see her live.

A Drag Queen Christmas 

Now this is a show that I want to see. A Drag Queen Christmas will feature many queens from RuPaul’s Drag Race, including the iconic Miz Cracker. This won’t be a traditional comedy show, but it’s sure to be hilarious. 
This show will hit the stage in Los Angeles on December 6 and December 8, so grab tickets while you can! A Drag Queen Christmas is one of the must-see shows of this season.

Katt Williams

Katt Williams is such a unique comedian. He’s never afraid to tackle dark or awkward subjects, and he brings his specific brand of humor to every topic. Williams has influenced numerous comedians, and his comedy is clearly influenced by comedy giants like Eddie Murphy and Richard Pryor. 

Williams will be performing on December 29 in Los Angeles at the Toyota Arena. Tickets are selling out quickly, so you’d better secure some tickets while you can! Don’t miss this show, it’s bound to be one of the best stand-up comedy shows this holiday season.

Leslie Jones

If you’re in Los Angeles this December, then you’re in luck! Leslie Jones’  brand of comedy is sharp, and she has a way of finding humor in every situation. She’s a living legend, and I envy anybody who has the chance to see her perform live. 

Jones will be performing at the Kavli Theatre on December 3, so get your tickets before they sell out. This is a show that you can’t miss.

Trixie and Katya

This is a show that I wouldn’t want to miss. Trixia and Katya, two RuPaul’s Drag Race alums, will hit the stage this holiday season in Los Angeles. They’re comedy is witty, physical, and they’re not afraid to be just plain silly. 

Trixie and Katya will perform on December 6 at The Novo. If you have the opportunity, grab tickets to see these queens, you won’t regret it for a second.

Pete Davidson

Finally, if you’re in New York this holiday season, I recommend that you grab some tickets to see Pete Davidson. Davidson’s comedy is dark, observational, and extremely intelligent. You don’t want to miss this show. 

Davidson will be performing on December 22 at the Beacon Theater. This set is sure to be hilarious, so get your hands on some tickets before they sell out.
