Step Inside a Few Tampa Bay Comedy Clubs
We’ve got local comedy shows above and a list of Tampa area comedy clubs below. But, we thought we’d take a peek at a few of the standout venues.
Snappers Grill & Comedy Club
You can take advantage of Taco Tuesday or Wine Wednesday at Snappers Grill & Comedy Club in Palm Harbor. But the best nights are Thursday, Friday, and Saturday with standup comedy and live music.
Since 1988, Snappers has hosted some of the funniest people in the US with 7:00 and 9:30 PM shows.
Regular admission is less than $20 per person. But if you’re taking a date and really want to impress, VIP tickets get you better seating and include dinner and cocktails. The minimum age is 18 for comedy at Snappers Grill & Comedy Club.
Side Splitters
With Side Splitters’ locations in Tampa, St. Pete, and Wesley Chapel, you shouldn’t have to travel too far for a fun night out with friends.
You get a bit of everything at this Tampa comedy club that’s been going strong since 1992. Side Splitters features headliners and local comics. There’s even an open mic night.
Like Snappers, Side Splitters is open to audience members who are 18 and over. Tickets for table seating are in the $20 range but don’t forget the two-item minimum. You might need a few cocktails if you’re sitting right in front of the stage!
Coconuts Comedy Club
When you envision a traditional comedy club, you’ll find that Coconuts comes pretty darn close to what you picture. It’s a 100-seat club on St. Pete Beach and is considered the oldest comedy club in Florida, opening in 1986.
The line-up at Coconuts Comedy Club is different at every show and ticket pricing is based on the headliner. Coconuts doesn’t serve food, but there’s a full bar (two drinks minimum), and parking is free (so that’s a plus!).
The only problem with Coconuts is its mysterious website. You don’t get a list of shows and buying tickets isn’t as straightforward as you might expect. Check out the website, and you’ll see what we mean. Don’t let it deter you, though. Take a leap and see who steps on stage!
