Make it a Disney World Christmas - even if you live in Orlando!

We know... you live in Orlando, so theme parks are ALWAYS in your backyard. But we're also aware that sometimes you take for granted what's right in front of you.

So, in that spirit and the spirit of Christmas, we're focusing on the holiday adventures and activities in the tourist hot spots that you're lucky enough to have access to every day.

Don't worry that you've missed out, as most of the fun extends to 2020!

The joys of having a Walt Disney World (and other theme parks) Christmas!

If you wish to see the Walt Disney World Resort at its very best, then you have to check it out over the Christmas holidays. There are several buzzing events at all of its theme parks that set the place alight.

Epcot International Festival of the Holidays

The Epcot theme park hosts some dazzling displays throughout December. The Christmas celebrations include a 50-piece orchestra, with a host of different celebrities at the helm. You can catch Marlee Matlin on the weekend of December 27th.

There's plenty of food and drinks to go with the lights and music at Epcot. But you can't forget the main course at this theme park, which happens to be its fun rides.

Jingle Bell, Jingle BAM! - Christmas at Disney Hollywood Studios

The Disney Hollywood Studios transforms to show a different, even better side over the Christmas period.

Sing-along to a special version of Frozen, hang out with Santa and stay in the spirit of the holidays with some shows. You've got the Jingle Bell, Jingle BAM! Fireworks show, and a dazzling Sunset Boulevard light and snow show.

If you have any shopping left, there's Christmas merchandise that's available only in December. And, you won't go hungry with all of the snack options.

Animal Kingdom Theme Park

If you are looking for a unique Christmas this time around, it doesn't get much more unusual than at Disney's Animal Kingdom Theme Park.

You'll get to witness the Tree of Life in all its glory at Discovery Island. Donald Duck also makes an appearance with his Dino-Bash at DinoLand U.S.A. You get a first-hand experience of Pandora and roam through our world and the Avatar universe at Pongu Pongu.

There's a lot more to see in the cultural decorations from around the world, featuring the Diwali lights of India and the village of Harambe.

Christmas at Universal Orlando

It's not just a Disney World Christmas. Universal Orlando is Christmas crazy with all kinds of special events and activities.

Interact with your favorite characters from various shows like Despicable Me and Madagascar at Universal. You'll also get to meet Santa Claus amid an atmosphere of wintry songs and live musical performances.

One of the star attractions, though, is a Grinchmas Wholiday. Witness a live retelling of the Grinch and the residents of Whoville. Your heart will grow ten sizes!

When: November 16th, 2019 to January 5th, 2020

SeaWorld Orlando Christmas

It may not be in snow formation, but water can be festive, especially if it's located at SeaWorld.

The park becomes a winter wonderland, with live shows in the spirit of Christmas. You get to spend your time shopping for Christmas gifts and munch on snacks to enjoy the experience to the fullest.

The fun doesn't stop there, though. You have a chance to meet some cute and cuddly characters, and the icing on the cake is face to face with jolly old St. Nick.

Christmas doesn't get much better than time with your family at SeaWorld Orlando.

It doesn't matter if you live in Orlando! Make it a Disney World Christmas (or Universal Studios... or SeaWorld...)

Walt Disney World and all of the area theme parks don't close up shop on the lights and festivities on December 26th, so you've still got time. Pick out your favorite events, and get out there and make some memories. After all, how long has it been since you've done the Disney thing?!
